My take on Dr. Seuss. I drew this cat-toon (to quote my friend Candy Cruz Datu who coined the term for me!) following a course I did on Writing for Children and Young Adults this year. The course, conducted by award-winning New Zealand author Janice Marriott, got me into reading picture books, including The Cat in the Hat (again). I will be working on some of the stories I wrote during the course, and will be reporting on progress on that soon. In the meantime, I hope this cat-toon puts a smile on your face, and a tingle of cheer in your heart!
A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.
– Proverbs 17:22, The Message
“Sometimes crying or laughing are the only options left, and laughing feels better right now.”
