Here goes: I am a proud, library card-bearing citizen who loves borrowing books from the local library. Not only is it a cheaper alternative to buying books from the bookstore or Amazon, I’ve learned to exercise some EQ with my Auckland Library card. By borrowing books, I get to read of titles that pique my interest for free.
Last Saturday, I popped into the lovely Birkenhead Library just 15 minutes from my home, where I scored two new books on sewing: Noah’s Ark: Sewing, quilting & appliqué for you & your home by Anne-Pia Godske Rasmussen and Text in Textile Art by Sara Impey. I got them in addition to two books on my Overdrive, namely Beckah Krahula’s One Zentangle A Day – a six-week course in creative drawing for relaxation, inspiration and fun – and a little novel called The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club by Wanda E. Brunstetter (yes, my love for sewing has extended into my fictional reads too).
So, what’s on your reading list right now?
