After nearly six months of drawing, sourcing supplies, and sewing till midnight, my first art exhibit will be unveiled on August 20. It’s called Sew and Tell, a collection of narrative embroidery pieces that all tell a story. It will be held in La Pomme, an adorable shop of plush toys owned by my friend Apol Lejano Massbieau (who is also my show curator) in Makati, Philippines. I am thrilled because I’ve found a new medium to tell my stories using more than just words.
Writer Pierra Calasanz-Labrador interviewed me about the show, and this is a link to the interview on her column, Fifi’s Finds about how Sew and Tell came to be.
